It names the company

Naming happens at creation, so you never watch a progress bar over a company called "New company".

What the log looks like

Choosing the name.
Locking your name onto the company: Cadence Clinic
Provisioning your address.
https://cadence-clinic.firstemployee.app is yours — serving a holding page while I build.

Or, when nothing convincing came back:

Sticking with the working title for now — I'll propose names in my report.

Every line above is one the employee actually prints. The company in it is an illustration so the log reads as a whole; it is not a customer.

Seconds — it runs at creation, before the build starts
Once per company, plus a rename whenever you want one
A name, four alternatives, a one-liner, a slug, an inbox
None. Accept it or tap one of the alternatives.

Anyone who has stalled a project for a week over what to call it, and anyone who wants the option to change their mind cheaply.

  1. It reads what is honestly known. The handle in your email address, the domain if it is not a consumer mailbox, and the briefs of any companies you already run here. Nothing else. There is no pretend web dive behind this — a profile that claims to know things nobody looked up is the anti-pattern the product was designed against.
  2. It reads your brief and the research. When the build has already run its searches, the competitor and pricing notes go in too, so the name is chosen against the market it will sit in rather than in a vacuum.
  3. It proposes five, with reasons. Pronounceable, spellable over the phone, two words at most, nothing that collides with a famous brand, and specific enough that it could only belong to this business. Each candidate carries one sentence saying why.
  4. It picks one and commits. The chosen name goes onto the company immediately and the receipt records it. The other four are stored on the company row so settings can offer them as one-tap renames.
  5. It says so when it is unsure. If nothing usable comes back it keeps the working title, writes a receipt saying it kept it, and raises naming as the one question in the morning report instead of quietly picking something weak.

Why name the company before building it?
Because the address, the inbox and every page of copy are downstream of it. Naming afterwards means rewriting all three, and it means you spend the whole build looking at a placeholder.
What if I hate the name?
The four runners-up are kept on the company with their reasons, so renaming is picking one rather than starting from an empty box. You can also type your own.
Does it check whether the name is taken?
It is told to avoid collisions with famous brands and to prefer names specific enough that they could only belong to your business. It does not run a trademark search, and it does not claim to — check the register before you print anything.
Where does the profile it uses come from?
Only from what you already gave us: the handle and domain of your email address, and the briefs of companies on your own account. Generic mailbox domains are ignored because they say nothing about a business.
