Hogyan működik?
- The site declares itself an app. Every page carries a web app manifest naming the company, its colours, its icons and the fact that it should open standalone. Phones read that file when someone chooses to add the site to their home screen.
- The icon is generated, not uploaded. Your mark is a piece of geometry computed from your palette, so it is drawn fresh at each size a phone wants rather than scaled up from one small image. Change the palette and the icon changes with it.
- Pages you have opened stay readable offline. One small script keeps a copy of each page as it is fetched. It always asks the network first, so nobody with a connection ever sees an old version of your site; the copy is only used when the network fails, and then the visitor reads what they had rather than a browser error.

Is this the same thing as an App Store app?
No, and it is worth being precise about the difference. This is your website, installed — it gets an icon and a full-screen window, and it arrives the moment your site does. A store app is a separate build that is listed and searchable on the App Store or Google Play, and getting one there means a developer account in your own name, an annual fee to Apple, and waiting for review. Most businesses want the first one and are sold the second.
Do my customers have to install anything?
No. It is an ordinary website that anyone can open in a browser, and installing is an option a visitor can take if they want it. Nobody is prompted, nothing is blocked behind it, and a visitor who never installs sees exactly the site everyone else does.
Does it work offline?
Pages someone has already opened stay readable with no connection — useful on a train, or in the back of a building where the signal dies. A page they have never visited cannot appear from nowhere, so that one shows a short note in your colours saying the device is offline. Forms need a connection: an enquiry is never quietly held on a phone, because a lead you think you sent and did not is worse than one that visibly failed.
What is the icon, and can I change it?
It is your company mark: a shape computed from the palette your site uses, the same one in the browser tab. Change the palette in your company settings and the icon follows. Anyone who installed the site before the change may keep the old icon for a day, because their phone caches it.
